About Wild Apricot Login

CVE-2026-93757 affects Wild Apricot Login. Before acting, confirm where Wild Apricot Login runs in your estate, who owns it and whether it is reachable from the internet, because exposure decides real risk more than the score alone.

What the flaw is

In plain terms: The Wild Apricot Login plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Authentication Bypass via SSO Email-Collision Account Binding in all versions up to, and including, 1.0.18. When no WildApricot contact-ID mapping is found for an incoming SSO login, the plugin falls back to a network-global `get_user_by('email', ...)` lookup in `Module.php` to resolve a WordPress user, then `UserSynchronizer::syncWaContact()` binds and `Controller::login()` issues a session cookie via `wp_set_auth_cookie()` for that resolved user — both guarded only by `is_super_admin()` — without ever requiring proof of ownership of the matched WordPress account such as a password, local account-linking confirmation, inbox verification, or administrator approval. This makes it possible for attackers with custom-level WildApricot membership access to authenticate as an existing WordPress subsite administrator on a path-based Multisite network, obtaining a valid network-global authentication cookie for the victim without their credentials. Exploitation requires that the attacker control a WildApricot contact whose email address matches the target WordPress administrator's email — achievable via a public zero-fee membership application on the connected WildApricot organization — and that they complete the SSO flow on any subsite where Wild Apricot Login is active; because WordPress user identities and authentication cookies are network-global, the cookie issued on that subsite is equally valid on any other subsite where the victim user holds an administrator role.

The weakness class is Improper Authentication. The software does not properly prove who a user is.

Based on its CVSS vector, the flaw can be reached over the network, needs some level of access, and needs no user interaction. Apply the vendor fix and confirm exposure on internet facing and business critical assets first.

  • Inventory every instance of Wild Apricot Login and record the running version against the affected range above.
  • Check external attack surface scans for internet facing instances of the component.
  • Review logs on affected systems for unusual requests, errors or new processes around the vulnerable function.
  • Confirm with an authenticated vulnerability scan once your scanner has a check for this CVE.

How to fix it

  • Apply the fixed version of Wild Apricot Login named in the vendor advisory.
  • If patching must wait, restrict network access to the affected service and put it behind authentication or a web application firewall rule.
  • Rescan after the change to prove the exposure is gone, then close the ticket.

Open-Emr Openemr

OpenEMR is a free and open source electronic health records and medical practice management application. Prior to 8.0.0, an unauthenticated token disclosure vulnerability in the MedEx callback endpoint allows any unauthenticated visitor to obtain the practice's MedEx API tokens, leading to complete third-party service compromise, PHI exfiltration, unauthorized actions on the MedEx platform, and HIPAA violations. The vulnerability exists because the endpoint bypasses authentication ($ignoreAuth = true) and performs a MedEx login whenever $_POST['callback_key'] is provided, returning the full JSON response including sensitive API tokens. This vulnerability is fixed in 8.0.0.
