Privacy Policy
How LearnCTEM.com collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data.
Effective date: 26 July 2026
01. Summary in plain language
LearnCTEM is free. In exchange, we collect real professional details at registration, we may share your data with third parties including for marketing purposes, and we may contact you by email, through LinkedIn, or by phone. If you are not comfortable with that, do not register an account.

- Technical data: IP address, browser and device information, and usage analytics.
03. Why we use your data
We use your data to:
- create and operate your account and dashboard,
- deliver examinations and enforce examination integrity,
- issue, display and publicly verify certificates,
- provide support and respond to your messages,
- improve courses, examinations and the platform,
- send you educational content, platform updates and marketing communications.
04. Sharing with third parties, including for marketing
You should read this section carefully. LearnCTEM may share your data, including your name, email address, LinkedIn profile URL, company, job role, country and certification status, with third parties. This includes service providers who run the platform on our behalf, and it also includes commercial third parties such as sponsors, partners, recruiters and vendors for their own marketing and outreach purposes.
Certificate data is shared publicly by design. Anyone with a certificate ID can view the holder name, certification level, award date and current status on the public verification page.
We may also disclose data where required by law, to protect our rights, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition.
05. How we may contact you
By registering, you agree that LearnCTEM and its partners may contact you by email, through LinkedIn messages or connection requests, and by phone or messaging apps where you have supplied a number. Contact may cover your account, your examinations and certificates, new content, and marketing or sponsored offers.
You can opt out of marketing contact at any time by using the unsubscribe link in an email or by contacting us. We will still send essential account and certificate messages.
06. Legal bases
Where the GDPR or similar law applies, we rely on your consent for marketing and for third party sharing, on contract performance to operate your account and issue certificates, and on legitimate interests to secure the platform and protect examination integrity.
07. Retention
Account and examination records are retained for as long as your account exists. Certificate records are retained indefinitely so that issued credentials remain publicly verifiable, even after an account is deleted. Support messages are retained for up to three years.
08. Security
Data is stored on managed cloud infrastructure with encryption in transit, row level access controls, and role restricted administrative access. No platform can promise perfect security, and you share data with us on that understanding.
09. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may request access to your data, correction, deletion, a copy in portable form, restriction of processing, or withdrawal of consent for marketing. Requests can be sent through the contact form.
10. Deleting your account and data
You can delete your LearnCTEM account yourself at any time from the Delete My Account page, linked in the footer and available from your dashboard. This is how we honour the right to erasure under Article 17 of the GDPR and the right to erasure under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act.
When you confirm a deletion request we schedule your account for permanent removal after a 30 day grace period. During those 30 days you can cancel the request and keep your account. After the grace period we permanently delete your profile, exam attempts and answers, anti-cheat records, issued certificates and their public verification records, support messages, and your marketing and contact preferences from our servers and from our processors.
Certificate verification links you previously shared will stop working once deletion completes, so download any certificate you want to keep before you confirm. We send a confirmation to your registered email address when your data has been deleted. Where a law or a legitimate legal claim requires it, we may keep a minimal record for the period the law requires, and nothing else.
11. Cookies and analytics
We use essential cookies for authentication and session handling, and analytics to understand which pages and courses are used. Analytics data may be processed by third party providers.
12. Children
LearnCTEM is intended for professionals and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.
13. Changes and contact
This policy may be updated as the platform evolves, with the revised effective date shown on this page. Privacy questions can be sent through the LearnCTEM contact form.
Read the Terms and Conditions as well. You must accept both before you can register an account.
