About Vivotek Fd8136 Firmware
CVE-2026-30652 affects Vivotek Fd8136 Firmware, a product from Vivotek. Before acting, confirm where Vivotek Fd8136 Firmware runs in your estate, who owns it and whether it is reachable from the internet, because exposure decides real risk more than the score alone.
What the flaw is
In plain terms: A remote buffer overflow vulnerability exists in the /cgi-bin/dido/setdo.cgi endpoint of the admin interface of Vivotek FD8136 cameras running firmware version FD8136-VVTK-0300a. This flaw allows an authenticated attacker to execute arbitrary code as root on the device.
The weakness class is Classic Buffer Overflow. Data is copied into a buffer without checking its size.
Based on its CVSS vector, the flaw can be reached over the network, needs some level of access, and needs no user interaction. Apply the vendor fix and confirm exposure on internet facing and business critical assets first.
