About Esri Portal For Arcgis
CVE-2026-13020 affects Esri Portal For Arcgis, a product from Esri. Before acting, confirm where Esri Portal For Arcgis runs in your estate, who owns it and whether it is reachable from the internet, because exposure decides real risk more than the score alone.
What the flaw is
In plain terms: A Weak Password Recovery Mechanism for Forgotten Password exists in Esri Portal for ArcGIS versions 12.1 and earlier on Windows, Linux and Kubernetes. A remote, unauthorized attacker may assume ownership of a user’s account by manipulating this mechanism. ArcGIS Administrators should configure an email server with ArcGIS Enterprise to facilitate user self-service password recovery. The ability for an administrator to reset a user’s password remains unchanged.
Based on its CVSS vector, the flaw can be reached over the network, needs no login, and needs no user interaction. Apply the vendor fix and confirm exposure on internet facing and business critical assets first.

Esri ArcGIS Server contains a directory traversal vulnerability. ArcGIS Enterprise on Kubernetes is not impacted. An unauthenticated attacker could exploit this issue by sending crafted path parameters. Successful exploitation could allow overwriting sensitive files on the system. Abuse of this issue can allow full administrative access to ArcGIS Server, with high impact to confidentiality, integrity, and availability. This issue impacts all versions of ArcGIS Server on Windows and Linux 12.0 and prior. This issue does not impact ArcGIS Enterprise for Kubernetes.
An incorrect privilege assignment vulnerability exists in Esri Portal for ArcGIS 11.5 in Windows and Linux that allows highly privileged users to create developer credentials that may grant more privileges than expected.
Chamilo LMS is a learning management system. Prior to 1.11.38 and 2.0.0-RC.3, the default password reset mechanism generates tokens using sha1($email) with no random component, no expiration, and no rate limiting. An attacker who knows a user's email can compute the reset token and change the victim's password without authentication. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.11.38 and 2.0.0-RC.3.
Statmatic is a Laravel and Git powered content management system (CMS). Prior to versions 6.3.3 and 5.73.10, an attacker may leverage a vulnerability in the password reset feature to capture a user's token and reset the password on their behalf. The attacker must know the email address of a valid account on the site, and the actual user must blindly click the link in their email even though they didn't request the reset. This has been fixed in 6.3.3 and 5.73.10.
OPEXUS eComplaint and eCASE before version 10.1.0.0 include the secret verification code in the HTTP response when requesting a password reset via 'ForcePasswordReset.aspx'. An attacker who knows an existing user's email address can reset the user's password and security questions. Existing security questions are not asked during the process.
Netherman Portal del Hermano (portaldelhermano.es) before 2026-10-06 contains a broken authentication vulnerability in its password-recovery flow at the POST /password/create-access and POST /password/email endpoints, allowing unauthenticated attackers to take over any member account across all tenants by exploiting the lack of rate limiting and distinct error messages that act as oracles for each of the four identity-verification factors (DNI, date of birth, phone number, last four IBAN digits). Attackers can confirm the DNI via the oracle, brute-force the date of birth and IBAN digits, obtain the phone number through open-source intelligence, then submit an attacker-controlled email field so the password reset link is delivered to them, enabling full account takeover including profile data, full IBAN, and fiscal documents.
