CVE-2026-82965 Overview
A flaw was found in the SAML implementation of Keycloak, an open-source identity and access management solution. The SAML Artifact Resolution and ECP SOAP endpoints do not properly limit the size or complexity of incoming XML requests. An unauthenticated remote attacker can exploit this by sending specially crafted, large XML messages that cause the server to consume excessive memory. This leads to the application running out of memory and crashing, resulting in a denial of service for all users.

Technical Details for CVE-2026-82965
Vulnerability Analysis
CVE-2026-82965 is a Uncontrolled Resource Consumption weakness (CWE-400: Uncontrolled Resource Consumption) in SAML implementation of Keycloak. Based on its CVSS vector, the flaw can be reached over the network, needs no login, and needs no user interaction. An attacker can exhaust CPU, memory or connections.
With a CVSS base score of 7.5, apply the vendor fix and confirm exposure on internet facing and business critical assets first.
Root Cause
The weakness is classified as CWE-400: Uncontrolled Resource Consumption. An attacker can exhaust CPU, memory or connections.
Attack Vector
Based on the CVSS vector, the flaw can be reached over the network, needs no login, and needs no user interaction. Attack complexity is low complexity.
No exploitation in the wild is confirmed by CISA at the time of the last update. Check the references below for any vendor or researcher proof of concept.

- Check external attack surface scans for internet facing instances of the component.
- Run an authenticated vulnerability scan once your scanner ships a check for this CVE.
Monitoring Recommendations
- Forward SAML implementation of Keycloak application, access and audit logs to your SIEM for retrospective hunting.
- Alert on new processes, configuration changes or outbound connections from the affected service.
- Track the vendor advisory and the CISA KEV catalog for changes in exploitation status.
How to Mitigate CVE-2026-82965
Immediate Actions Required
- Apply the fixed version of SAML implementation of Keycloak named in the vendor advisory.
- Prioritize internet facing and business critical instances first.
- Rescan after the change to confirm the exposure is closed.
Patch Information
Use the fixed version listed in the vendor advisory for SAML implementation of Keycloak.
Workarounds
- If patching must wait, restrict network access to the affected service and place it behind authentication or a web application firewall rule.

TOTOLINK X5000R v9.1.0cu_2415_B20250515 contains an argument injection vulnerability in the setDiagnosisCfg handler of the /usr/sbin/lighttpd executable. The ip parameter is retrieved via websGetVar and passed to a ping command through CsteSystem without validating if the input starts with a hyphen (-). This allows remote authenticated attackers to inject arbitrary command-line options into the ping utility, potentially leading to a Denial of Service (DoS) by causing excessive resource consumption or prolonged execution.
In multiple functions of MmsProvider.java, there is a possible way to arbitrarily delete files which affect telephony, SMS, and MMS functionalities due to a path traversal error. This could lead to local denial of service with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation.
