About BerriAI LiteLLM
CVE-2026-59822 affects BerriAI LiteLLM, a product from BerriAI. Before acting, confirm where BerriAI LiteLLM runs in your estate, who owns it and whether it is reachable from the internet, because exposure decides real risk more than the score alone.
What the flaw is
In plain terms: LiteLLM is a proxy server (AI Gateway) to call LLM APIs in OpenAI (or native) format. Prior to 1.84.0, LiteLLM's MCP Streamable HTTP endpoint allowed an unauthenticated attacker to use a fabricated Authorization header to trigger an OAuth2 passthrough fallback path that replaced failed LiteLLM key validation with an empty UserAPIKeyAuth() object, allowing requests to reach MCP tooling without a valid LiteLLM key. This issue is fixed in version 1.84.0.
The weakness class is Improper Authentication. The software does not properly prove who a user is.
Based on its CVSS vector, the flaw can be reached over the network, needs no login, and needs no user interaction. It is listed in the CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog, so treat it as an active threat and patch immediately.

How to detect it
- Inventory every instance of BerriAI LiteLLM and record the running version against the affected range above.
- Check external attack surface scans for internet facing instances of the component.
- Review logs on affected systems for unusual requests, errors or new processes around the vulnerable function.
- Confirm with an authenticated vulnerability scan once your scanner has a check for this CVE.
How to fix it
- Apply the fixed version of BerriAI LiteLLM named in the vendor advisory.
- If patching must wait, restrict network access to the affected service and put it behind authentication or a web application firewall rule.
- Rescan after the change to prove the exposure is gone, then close the ticket.
CTEM action plan
| CTEM stage | What to do for this CVE |
|---|---|
| Scope | Add every business service that depends on BerriAI LiteLLM to the current CTEM cycle. |
| Discover | Find all instances, including shadow and cloud deployments, and record versions and exposure. |
| Prioritize | Known exploited, so top priority. |
| Validate | Confirm the flaw is reachable and exploitable in your environment and that compensating controls work. |
| Mobilize | Assign the fix to the asset owner with a due date matched to the priority, then verify closure. |

LiteLLM is a proxy server (AI Gateway) to call LLM APIs in OpenAI (or native) format. From version 1.74.2 to before version 1.83.7, two endpoints used to preview an MCP server before saving it — POST /mcp-rest/test/connection and POST /mcp-rest/test/tools/list — accepted a full server configuration in the request body, including the command, args, and env fields used by the stdio transport. When called with a stdio configuration, the endpoints attempted to connect, which spawned the supplied command as a subprocess on the proxy host with the privileges of the proxy process. The endpoints were gated only by a valid proxy API key, with no role check. Any authenticated user — including holders of low-privilege internal-user keys — could therefore run arbitrary commands on the host. This issue has been patched in version 1.83.7.
LiteLLM is a proxy server (AI Gateway) to call LLM APIs in OpenAI (or native) format. From version 1.81.16 to before version 1.83.7, a database query used during proxy API key checks mixed the caller-supplied key value into the query text instead of passing it as a separate parameter. An unauthenticated attacker could send a specially crafted Authorization header to any LLM API route (for example POST /chat/completions) and reach this query through the proxy's error-handling path. An attacker could read data from the proxy's database and may be able to modify it, leading to unauthorised access to the proxy and the credentials it manages. This issue has been patched in version 1.83.7.
A remote authentication bypass vulnerability exists in HPE AutoPass License Server (APLS).
Improper authentication in Azure Key Vault allows an unauthorized attacker to elevate privileges over a network.
Dokans Multi-Tenancy Based eCommerce Platform SaaS 3.9.2 allows unauthenticated remote attackers to obtain sensitive application configuration data via direct request to /script/.env file. The exposed file contains Laravel application encryption key (APP_KEY), database credentials, SMTP/SendGrid API credentials, and internal configuration parameters, enabling complete system compromise including authentication bypass via session token forgery, direct database access to all tenant data, and email infrastructure takeover. Due to the multi-tenancy architecture, this vulnerability affects all tenants in the system.
FUXA is a web-based Process Visualization (SCADA/HMI/Dashboard) software. Prior to 1.2.10, an authentication bypass vulnerability in FUXA allows an unauthenticated, remote attacker to gain administrative access via the heartbeat refresh API and execute arbitrary code on the server. This issue has been patched in FUXA version 1.2.10.
