About Monetr
CVE-2026-41644 affects Monetr, a product from Monetr. Before acting, confirm where Monetr runs in your estate, who owns it and whether it is reachable from the internet, because exposure decides real risk more than the score alone.
What the flaw is
In plain terms: monetr is a budgeting application for recurring expenses. Prior to version 1.12.5, a server-side request forgery (SSRF) vulnerability in monetr's Lunch Flow integration allowed any authenticated user on a self-hosted instance to cause the monetr server to issue HTTP GET requests to arbitrary URLs supplied by the caller, with the response body from non-200 upstream responses reflected back in the API error message. This issue has been patched in version 1.12.5.
The weakness class is Allocation Without Limits. Resources are allocated without a cap.
Based on its CVSS vector, the flaw can be reached over the network, needs some level of access, and needs no user interaction. Apply the vendor fix and confirm exposure on internet facing and business critical assets first.

How to detect it
- Inventory every instance of Monetr and record the running version against the affected range above.
- Check external attack surface scans for internet facing instances of the component.
- Review logs on affected systems for unusual requests, errors or new processes around the vulnerable function.
- Confirm with an authenticated vulnerability scan once your scanner has a check for this CVE.
How to fix it
- Apply the fixed version of Monetr named in the vendor advisory.
- If patching must wait, restrict network access to the affected service and put it behind authentication or a web application firewall rule.
- Rescan after the change to prove the exposure is gone, then close the ticket.
CTEM action plan
| CTEM stage | What to do for this CVE |
|---|---|
| Scope | Add every business service that depends on Monetr to the current CTEM cycle. |
| Discover | Find all instances, including shadow and cloud deployments, and record versions and exposure. |
| Prioritize | Rank using EPSS and CVSS together with asset exposure and business impact. |
| Validate | Confirm the flaw is reachable and exploitable in your environment and that compensating controls work. |
| Mobilize | Assign the fix to the asset owner with a due date matched to the priority, then verify closure. |

monetr is a budgeting application for recurring expenses. In versions 1.12.3 and below, the public Stripe webhook endpoint buffers the entire request body into memory before validating the Stripe signature. A remote unauthenticated attacker can send oversized POST payloads to cause uncontrolled memory growth, leading to denial of service. The issue affects deployments with Stripe webhooks enabled and is mitigated if an upstream proxy enforces a request body size limit. This issue has been fixed in version 1.12.4.
Podman Desktop is a graphical tool for developing on containers and Kubernetes. Prior to 1.26.2, an unauthenticated HTTP server exposed by Podman Desktop allows any network attacker to remotely trigger denial-of-service conditions and extract sensitive information. By abusing missing connection limits and timeouts, an attacker can exhaust file descriptors and kernel memory, leading to application crash or full host freeze. Additionally, verbose error responses disclose internal paths and system details (including usernames on Windows), aiding further exploitation. The issue requires no authentication or user interaction and is exploitable over the network. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.26.2.
free5GC is an open-source implementation of the 5G core network. Prior to 4.2.2, the free5GC UDM component fails to validate the supi path parameter in six GET handlers of the nudm-sdm (Subscriber Data Management) service. An unauthenticated attacker can inject control characters into the SUPI parameter, causing UDM to forward a malformed request to UDR and return a 500 Internal Server Error response that exposes internal infrastructure details. This vulnerability is fixed in 4.2.2.
