About Nhost/Auth
CVE-2026-41574 affects Nhost/Auth, a product from Nhost. Before acting, confirm where Nhost/Auth runs in your estate, who owns it and whether it is reachable from the internet, because exposure decides real risk more than the score alone.
What the flaw is
In plain terms: Nhost is an open source Firebase alternative with GraphQL. Prior to version 0.49.1, Nhost automatically links an incoming OAuth identity to an existing Nhost account when the email addresses match. This is only safe when the email has been verified by the OAuth provider. Nhost's controller trusts a profile.EmailVerified boolean that is set by each provider adapter. The vulnerability is that several provider adapters do not correctly populate this field they either silently drop a verified field the provider API actually returns (Discord), or they fall back to accepting unconfirmed emails and marking them as verified (Bitbucket). Two Microsoft providers (AzureAD, EntraID) derive the email from non-ownership-proving fields like the user principal name, then mark it verified. The result is that an attacker can present an email they don't own to Nhost, have the OAuth identity merged into the victim's account, and receive a full authenticated session. This issue has been patched in version 0.49.1.
The weakness class is Improper Authentication. The software does not properly prove who a user is.
Based on its CVSS vector, the flaw can be reached over the network, needs no login, and needs no user interaction. Apply the vendor fix and confirm exposure on internet facing and business critical assets first.

How to detect it
- Inventory every instance of Nhost/Auth and record the running version against the affected range above.
- Check external attack surface scans for internet facing instances of the component.
- Review logs on affected systems for unusual requests, errors or new processes around the vulnerable function.
- Confirm with an authenticated vulnerability scan once your scanner has a check for this CVE.
How to fix it
- Apply the fixed version of Nhost/Auth named in the vendor advisory.
- If patching must wait, restrict network access to the affected service and put it behind authentication or a web application firewall rule.
- Rescan after the change to prove the exposure is gone, then close the ticket.
CTEM action plan
| CTEM stage | What to do for this CVE |
|---|---|
| Scope | Add every business service that depends on Nhost/Auth to the current CTEM cycle. |
| Discover | Find all instances, including shadow and cloud deployments, and record versions and exposure. |
| Prioritize | Rank using EPSS and CVSS together with asset exposure and business impact. |
| Validate | Confirm the flaw is reachable and exploitable in your environment and that compensating controls work. |
| Mobilize | Assign the fix to the asset owner with a due date matched to the priority, then verify closure. |

Nhost is an open source Firebase alternative with GraphQL. Prior to version 1.41.0, The Nhost CLI MCP server, when explicitly configured to listen on a network port, applies no inbound authentication and does not enforce strict CORS. This allows a malicious website visited on the same machine to issue cross-origin requests to the MCP server and invoke privileged tools using the developer's locally configured credentials. This vulnerability requires two explicit, non-default configuration steps to be exploitable. The default nhost mcp start configuration is not affected. This issue has been patched in version 1.41.0.
A remote authentication bypass vulnerability exists in HPE AutoPass License Server (APLS).
Improper authentication in Azure Key Vault allows an unauthorized attacker to elevate privileges over a network.
Dokans Multi-Tenancy Based eCommerce Platform SaaS 3.9.2 allows unauthenticated remote attackers to obtain sensitive application configuration data via direct request to /script/.env file. The exposed file contains Laravel application encryption key (APP_KEY), database credentials, SMTP/SendGrid API credentials, and internal configuration parameters, enabling complete system compromise including authentication bypass via session token forgery, direct database access to all tenant data, and email infrastructure takeover. Due to the multi-tenancy architecture, this vulnerability affects all tenants in the system.
FUXA is a web-based Process Visualization (SCADA/HMI/Dashboard) software. Prior to 1.2.10, an authentication bypass vulnerability in FUXA allows an unauthenticated, remote attacker to gain administrative access via the heartbeat refresh API and execute arbitrary code on the server. This issue has been patched in FUXA version 1.2.10.
The vulnerability exists in BLUVOYIX due to improper authentication in the BLUVOYIX backend APIs. An unauthenticated remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending specially crafted HTTP requests to the vulnerable APIs. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability could allow the attacker to gain full access to customers' data and completely compromise the targeted platform.
