About Vmware Spring Cloud Config
CVE-2026-41002 affects Vmware Spring Cloud Config, a product from Vmware. Before acting, confirm where Vmware Spring Cloud Config runs in your estate, who owns it and whether it is reachable from the internet, because exposure decides real risk more than the score alone.
What the flaw is
In plain terms: The base directory (`spring.cloud.config.server.git.basedir`) used by the Spring Cloud Config Server to clone Git repositories to is susceptible to time-of-check-time-of-use (TOCTOU) attacks.
