About Inventree Project Inventree
CVE-2026-35478 affects Inventree Project Inventree, a product from Inventree Project. Before acting, confirm where Inventree Project Inventree runs in your estate, who owns it and whether it is reachable from the internet, because exposure decides real risk more than the score alone.
What the flaw is
In plain terms: InvenTree is an Open Source Inventory Management System. From 0.16.0 to before 1.2.7, any authenticated InvenTree user can create a valid API token attributed to any other user in the system — including administrators and superusers — by supplying the target's user ID in the user field of a POST /api/user/tokens/ request. The returned token is immediately usable for full API authentication as the target user, from any network location, with no further interaction required. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.2.7 and 1.3.0.
The weakness class is Insecure Direct Object Reference. Changing an ID in a request exposes another user's data.
Based on its CVSS vector, the flaw can be reached over the network, needs some level of access, and needs no user interaction. Apply the vendor fix and confirm exposure on internet facing and business critical assets first.

How to detect it
- Inventory every instance of Inventree Project Inventree and record the running version against the affected range above.
- Check external attack surface scans for internet facing instances of the component.
- Review logs on affected systems for unusual requests, errors or new processes around the vulnerable function.
- Confirm with an authenticated vulnerability scan once your scanner has a check for this CVE.
How to fix it
- Apply the fixed version of Inventree Project Inventree named in the vendor advisory.
- If patching must wait, restrict network access to the affected service and put it behind authentication or a web application firewall rule.
- Rescan after the change to prove the exposure is gone, then close the ticket.
CTEM action plan
| CTEM stage | What to do for this CVE |
|---|---|
| Scope | Add every business service that depends on Inventree Project Inventree to the current CTEM cycle. |
| Discover | Find all instances, including shadow and cloud deployments, and record versions and exposure. |
| Prioritize | Rank using EPSS and CVSS together with asset exposure and business impact. |
| Validate | Confirm the flaw is reachable and exploitable in your environment and that compensating controls work. |
| Mobilize | Assign the fix to the asset owner with a due date matched to the priority, then verify closure. |

Cal.com is open-source scheduling software. From 3.1.6 to before 6.0.7, there is a vulnerability in a custom NextAuth JWT callback that allows attackers to gain full authenticated access to any user's account by supplying a target email address via session.update(). This vulnerability is fixed in 6.0.7.
n8n-MCP is an MCP server that provides AI assistants access to n8n node documentation, properties, and operations. Prior to 2.56.1, in HTTP mode with multi-tenancy enabled through ENABLE_MULTI_TENANT=true, n8n-mcp's local workflow version history backups were not isolated per tenant, allowing an authenticated tenant to read workflow version snapshots belonging to other tenants and delete or destroy other tenants' stored backups, including full node definitions, credential references, and authorization headers. This issue is fixed in version 2.56.1.
A flaw was found in migration-planner. The agent-API middleware processes JSON Web Tokens (JWTs) for authentication, but its UpdateSourceInventory and UpdateAgentStatus handlers fail to validate the source_id claim within these tokens against the requested source ID. This oversight allows an authenticated attacker with a valid agent token to manipulate data across different tenants, leading to a complete collapse of tenant isolation. This could result in unauthorized overwriting of victim inventory, planting of malicious credential URLs, or corruption of migration assessments.
A flaw was found in migration-planner. An authenticated attacker could exploit an improper access control vulnerability in the `/api/v1/sources/{id}/image-url` endpoint. This flaw allows the attacker to bypass an ownership check and obtain presigned S3 URLs for Open Virtual Appliance (OVA) images belonging to other users. Consequently, the attacker can download OVA images containing sensitive information, such as long-lived agent JSON Web Tokens (JWTs) and source configurations, potentially leading to unauthorized access and modification of the victim's source.
A specific endpoint allows authenticated users to pivot to other user profiles by modifying the id number in the API call.
Sparx Pro Cloud Server requires authentication based on requested URL. An attacker can omit the "model" query parameter and send the model name only in the binary blob in POST request allowing SQL query execution without authentication. The vendor was notified early about this vulnerability, but didn't respond with the details of vulnerability or vulnerable version range. Only version 6.1 (build 167) and below were tested and confirmed as vulnerable, other versions were not tested and might also be vulnerable.
