About Pi-Hole Web Interface

CVE-2026-33765 affects Pi-Hole Web Interface, a product from Pi-Hole. Before acting, confirm where Pi-Hole Web Interface runs in your estate, who owns it and whether it is reachable from the internet, because exposure decides real risk more than the score alone.

What the flaw is

In plain terms: Pi-hole Admin Interface is a web interface for managing Pi-hole, a network-level ad and internet tracker blocking application. Versions prior to 6.0 have a critical OS Command Injection vulnerability in the savesettings.php file. The application takes the user-controlled $_POST['webtheme'] parameter and concatenates it directly into a system command executed via PHP's exec() function. Since the input is neither sanitized nor validated before being passed to the shell, an attacker can append arbitrary system commands to the intended pihole command. Furthermore, because the command is executed with sudo privileges, the injected commands will run with elevated (likely root) privileges. Version 6.0 patches the issue.

The weakness class is OS Command Injection. Untrusted input is passed to the operating system shell, letting an attacker run commands.

Based on its CVSS vector, the flaw can be reached over the network, needs no login, and needs no user interaction. Apply the vendor fix and confirm exposure on internet facing and business critical assets first.

How to detect it

  • Inventory every instance of Pi-Hole Web Interface and record the running version against the affected range above.
  • Check external attack surface scans for internet facing instances of the component.
  • Review logs on affected systems for unusual requests, errors or new processes around the vulnerable function.
  • Confirm with an authenticated vulnerability scan once your scanner has a check for this CVE.

How to fix it

  • Apply the fixed version of Pi-Hole Web Interface named in the vendor advisory.
  • If patching must wait, restrict network access to the affected service and put it behind authentication or a web application firewall rule.
  • Rescan after the change to prove the exposure is gone, then close the ticket.

CVE-2026-39849
Pi-Hole Ftldns

Pi-hole FTL is the core engine of the Pi-hole network-level advertisement and tracker blocker. In versions before 6.6.1, the `dns.interface` configuration field in Pi-hole FTL accepted newline characters without validation, allowing an attacker to inject arbitrary directives into the generated dnsmasq configuration file. On installations with no admin password set (the default for many deployments), the configuration API is fully accessible without credentials, allowing a network-adjacent attacker to inject the payload, enable the built-in DHCP server, and achieve arbitrary command execution on the host the next time any device on the network requests a DHCP lease. The injected value is persisted to /etc/pihole/pihole.toml and survives restarts. The strncpy in the code path limits the total interface field to 31 bytes, but payloads such as wlan0\ndhcp-script=/tmp/p fit within this constraint. The dnsmasq config validation introduced in FTL 6.6 only checks syntactic validity, so valid directives injected via newline pass validation successfully. This issue has been fixed in version 6.6.1.

Wegia

WeGIA is a web manager for charitable institutions. Prior to version 3.6.5, a critical Remote Code Execution (RCE) vulnerability exists in the WeGIA application's database restoration functionality. An attacker with administrative access (which can be obtained via the previously reported Authentication Bypass) can execute arbitrary OS commands on the server by uploading a backup file with a specifically crafted filename. Version 3.6.5 fixes the issue.

Dhtmlx Pdf Export Module

PDF Export Module used in DHTMLX's products Gantt and Scheduler is vulnerable to Remote Code Execution due to lack of "data" parameter sanitization. An unauthenticated attacker can inject the malicious JavaScript code to the parameter whose value is processed by Node.js and subsequently executed. This can lead to server compromise. This issue was fixed in PDF Export Module version 0.7.6.

Ritlabs Tinyweb

TinyWeb is a web server (HTTP, HTTPS) written in Delphi for Win32. TinyWeb HTTP Server before version 1.98 is vulnerable to OS command injection via CGI ISINDEX-style query parameters. The query parameters are passed as command-line arguments to the CGI executable via Windows CreateProcess(). An unauthenticated remote attacker can execute arbitrary commands on the server by injecting Windows shell metacharacters into HTTP requests. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.98.

CVE-2026-27613
Ritlabs Tinyweb

TinyWeb is a web server (HTTP, HTTPS) written in Delphi for Win32. A vulnerability in versions prior to 2.01 allows unauthenticated remote attackers to bypass the web server's CGI parameter security controls. Depending on the server configuration and the specific CGI executable in use, the impact is either source code disclosure or remote code execution (RCE). Anyone hosting CGI scripts (particularly interpreted languages like PHP) using vulnerable versions of TinyWeb is impacted. The problem has been patched in version 2.01. If upgrading is not immediately possible, ensure `STRICT_CGI_PARAMS` is enabled (it is defined by default in `define.inc`) and/or do not use CGI executables that natively accept dangerous command-line flags (such as `php-cgi.exe`). If hosting PHP, consider placing the server behind a Web Application Firewall (WAF) that explicitly blocks URL query string parameters that begin with a hyphen (`-`) or contain encoded double quotes (`%22`).

CVE-2025-15379
Lfprojects Mlflow

A command injection vulnerability exists in MLflow's model serving container initialization code, specifically in the `_install_model_dependencies_to_env()` function. When deploying a model with `env_manager=LOCAL`, MLflow reads dependency specifications from the model artifact's `python_env.yaml` file and directly interpolates them into a shell command without sanitization. This allows an attacker to supply a malicious model artifact and achieve arbitrary command execution on systems that deploy the model. The vulnerability affects versions 3.8.0 and is fixed in version 3.8.2.
