About Mintplexlabs Anythingllm
CVE-2026-32628 affects Mintplexlabs Anythingllm, a product from Mintplexlabs. Before acting, confirm where Mintplexlabs Anythingllm runs in your estate, who owns it and whether it is reachable from the internet, because exposure decides real risk more than the score alone.
What the flaw is
In plain terms: AnythingLLM is an application that turns pieces of content into context that any LLM can use as references during chatting. In 1.11.1 and earlier, a SQL injection vulnerability in the built-in SQL Agent plugin allows any user who can invoke the agent to execute arbitrary SQL commands on connected databases. The getTableSchemaSql() method in all three database connectors (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MSSQL) constructs SQL queries using direct string concatenation of the table_name parameter without sanitization or parameterization.
The weakness class is SQL Injection. Untrusted input changes the meaning of a database query.
Based on its CVSS vector, the flaw can be reached over the network, needs some level of access, and needs no user interaction. Apply the vendor fix and confirm exposure on internet facing and business critical assets first.

How to detect it
- Inventory every instance of Mintplexlabs Anythingllm and record the running version against the affected range above.
- Check external attack surface scans for internet facing instances of the component.
- Review logs on affected systems for unusual requests, errors or new processes around the vulnerable function.
- Confirm with an authenticated vulnerability scan once your scanner has a check for this CVE.
How to fix it
- Apply the fixed version of Mintplexlabs Anythingllm named in the vendor advisory.
- If patching must wait, restrict network access to the affected service and put it behind authentication or a web application firewall rule.
- Rescan after the change to prove the exposure is gone, then close the ticket.
CTEM action plan
| CTEM stage | What to do for this CVE |
|---|---|
| Scope | Add every business service that depends on Mintplexlabs Anythingllm to the current CTEM cycle. |
| Discover | Find all instances, including shadow and cloud deployments, and record versions and exposure. |
| Prioritize | Rank using EPSS and CVSS together with asset exposure and business impact. |
| Validate | Confirm the flaw is reachable and exploitable in your environment and that compensating controls work. |
| Mobilize | Assign the fix to the asset owner with a due date matched to the priority, then verify closure. |

AnythingLLM is an application that turns pieces of content into context that any LLM can use as references during chatting. Prior to 1.13.0, the filesystem-search-files agent skill passes its LLM-controlled pattern parameter to ripgrep as a positional argument without a -- end-of-options separator. ripgrep parses any argument that starts with - as an option, so a pattern of --pre=/bin/sh turns ripgrep into a script executor: it runs /bin/sh <file> for every file it walks. An attacker who can chat with an agent on a deployment with the filesystem plugin enabled (the default in the official Docker image) can use this, together with the sibling filesystem-write-text-file skill, to run arbitrary commands inside the AnythingLLM server container. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.13.0.
A path traversal vulnerability exists in mintplex-labs/anything-llm versions up to and including 1.9.1, within the `AgentFlows` component. The vulnerability arises from improper handling of user input in the `loadFlow` and `deleteFlow` methods in `server/utils/agentFlows/index.js`. Specifically, the combination of `path.join` and `normalizePath` allows attackers to bypass directory restrictions and access or delete arbitrary `.json` files on the server. This can lead to information disclosure, such as leaking sensitive configuration files containing API keys, or denial of service by deleting critical files like `package.json`. The issue is resolved in version 1.12.1.
AnythingLLM is an application that turns pieces of content into context that any LLM can use as references during chatting. In 1.11.1 and earlier, On default installations where no password or API key has been configured, all HTTP endpoints and the agent WebSocket lack authentication, and the server's CORS policy accepts any origin. AnythingLLM Desktop binds to 127.0.0.1 (loopback) by default. Modern browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox) implement Private Network Access (PNA). This explicitly blocks public websites from making requests to local IP addresses. Exploitation is only viable from within the same local network (LAN) due to browser-level blocking of public-to-private requests.
AnythingLLM is an application that turns pieces of content into context that any LLM can use as references during chatting. If AnythingLLM prior to version 1.10.0 is configured to use Qdrant as the vector database with an API key, this QdrantApiKey could be exposed in plain text to unauthenticated users via the `/api/setup-complete` endpoint. Leakage of QdrantApiKey allows an unauthenticated attacker full read/write access to the Qdrant vector database instance used by AnythingLLM. Since Qdrant often stores the core knowledge base for RAG in AnythingLLM, this can lead to complete compromise of the semantic search / retrieval functionality and indirect leakage of confidential uploaded documents. Version 1.10.0 patches the issue.
Budibase is an open-source low-code platform. Prior to 3.39.12, an unauthenticated visitor of any published Budibase app reads every document of the backing MongoDB, CouchDB, Elasticsearch, DynamoDB-PartiQL, or REST-with-JSON-body collection and, where the builder has published a PUBLIC write query, modifies every document of that collection with one HTTP request. enrichContext at packages/server/src/sdk/workspace/queries/queries.ts:121-138 substitutes parameter values into the raw JSON body of a query, then JSON.parses the result. The validator validateQueryInputs at packages/server/src/api/controllers/query/index.ts:61-71 rejects only Handlebars markers ({{, }}) in user input and does not escape JSON metacharacters (", \, }). A parameter value containing a closing quote and additional keys lifts attacker-controlled fields into the parsed filter object. For Mongo find, the parsed filter passes directly to collection.find() (packages/server/src/integrations/mongodb.ts:506-510). Duplicate-key JSON parsing overrides the builder's {name: "..."} with {name: {$exists: true}} and returns every document. The same primitive against an updateMany query (mongodb.ts:577-585) widens the filter scope to the full collection while the builder-controlled $set body runs against every matched document. The authorized middleware at packages/server/src/middleware/authorized.ts:141-148 short-circuits when the query's role is PUBLIC. CSRF is not enforced on this path. POST /api/v2/queries/:queryId (packages/server/src/api/routes/query.ts:63) accepts the call with no session, only an x-budibase-app-id header that is public from the published-app URL. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.39.12.
Joomla Extension - joomcode.com - Unauthenticated SQL injection in read and write queries in JCTables 1.21.1 - The front-end CRUD API controller performs no Joomla token validation and no authentication check on any task. Table names, column names, and values are taken directly from request parameters and concatenated into SQL queries, allowing SQLi for reading and writing queries.
