About Depomo Chartbrew
CVE-2026-27005 affects Depomo Chartbrew, a product from Depomo. Before acting, confirm where Depomo Chartbrew runs in your estate, who owns it and whether it is reachable from the internet, because exposure decides real risk more than the score alone.
What the flaw is
In plain terms: Chartbrew is an open-source web application that can connect directly to databases and APIs and use the data to create charts. Prior to version 4.8.3, an unauthenticated attacker can inject arbitrary SQL into queries executed against databases connected to Chartbrew (MySQL, PostgreSQL). This allows reading, modifying, or deleting data in those databases depending on the database user's privileges. This issue has been patched in version 4.8.3.
The weakness class is SQL Injection. Untrusted input changes the meaning of a database query.
Based on its CVSS vector, the flaw can be reached over the network, needs no login, and needs no user interaction. Apply the vendor fix and confirm exposure on internet facing and business critical assets first.

How to detect it
- Inventory every instance of Depomo Chartbrew and record the running version against the affected range above.
- Check external attack surface scans for internet facing instances of the component.
- Review logs on affected systems for unusual requests, errors or new processes around the vulnerable function.
- Confirm with an authenticated vulnerability scan once your scanner has a check for this CVE.
How to fix it
- Apply the fixed version of Depomo Chartbrew named in the vendor advisory.
- If patching must wait, restrict network access to the affected service and put it behind authentication or a web application firewall rule.
- Rescan after the change to prove the exposure is gone, then close the ticket.
CTEM action plan
| CTEM stage | What to do for this CVE |
|---|---|
| Scope | Add every business service that depends on Depomo Chartbrew to the current CTEM cycle. |
| Discover | Find all instances, including shadow and cloud deployments, and record versions and exposure. |
| Prioritize | Rank using EPSS and CVSS together with asset exposure and business impact. |
| Validate | Confirm the flaw is reachable and exploitable in your environment and that compensating controls work. |
| Mobilize | Assign the fix to the asset owner with a due date matched to the priority, then verify closure. |

Chartbrew is an open-source web application that can connect directly to databases and APIs and use the data to create charts. Prior to 4.8.5, Chartbrew allows authenticated users to create API data connections with arbitrary URLs. The server fetches these URLs using request-promise without any IP address validation, enabling Server-Side Request Forgery attacks against internal networks and cloud metadata endpoints. This vulnerability is fixed in 4.8.5.
Chartbrew is an open-source web application that can connect directly to databases and APIs and use the data to create charts. Prior to version 4.8.4, the chart filter endpoint POST /project/:project_id/chart/:chart_id/filter is missing both verifyToken and checkPermissions middleware, allowing unauthenticated users to access chart data from any team/project. This issue has been patched in version 4.8.4.
Budibase is an open-source low-code platform. Prior to 3.39.12, an unauthenticated visitor of any published Budibase app reads every document of the backing MongoDB, CouchDB, Elasticsearch, DynamoDB-PartiQL, or REST-with-JSON-body collection and, where the builder has published a PUBLIC write query, modifies every document of that collection with one HTTP request. enrichContext at packages/server/src/sdk/workspace/queries/queries.ts:121-138 substitutes parameter values into the raw JSON body of a query, then JSON.parses the result. The validator validateQueryInputs at packages/server/src/api/controllers/query/index.ts:61-71 rejects only Handlebars markers ({{, }}) in user input and does not escape JSON metacharacters (", \, }). A parameter value containing a closing quote and additional keys lifts attacker-controlled fields into the parsed filter object. For Mongo find, the parsed filter passes directly to collection.find() (packages/server/src/integrations/mongodb.ts:506-510). Duplicate-key JSON parsing overrides the builder's {name: "..."} with {name: {$exists: true}} and returns every document. The same primitive against an updateMany query (mongodb.ts:577-585) widens the filter scope to the full collection while the builder-controlled $set body runs against every matched document. The authorized middleware at packages/server/src/middleware/authorized.ts:141-148 short-circuits when the query's role is PUBLIC. CSRF is not enforced on this path. POST /api/v2/queries/:queryId (packages/server/src/api/routes/query.ts:63) accepts the call with no session, only an x-budibase-app-id header that is public from the published-app URL. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.39.12.
Joomla Extension - joomcode.com - Unauthenticated SQL injection in read and write queries in JCTables 1.21.1 - The front-end CRUD API controller performs no Joomla token validation and no authentication check on any task. Table names, column names, and values are taken directly from request parameters and concatenated into SQL queries, allowing SQLi for reading and writing queries.
Successful exploitation of the SQL injection vulnerability could allow an unauthenticated remote attacker to execute arbitrary SQL commands on the vulnerable service when it is exposed to the Internet, potentially affecting data confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Users and administrators of affected product versions are advised to update to the latest versions immediately.
A SQL injection vulnerability exists in the login functionality of Fikir Odalari AdminPando 1.0.1 before 2026-01-26. The username and password parameters are vulnerable to SQL injection, allowing unauthenticated attackers to bypass authentication completely. Successful exploitation grants full administrative access to the application, including the ability to manipulate the public-facing website content (HTML/DOM manipulation).
