About Tattile Smart+ Firmware
CVE-2026-26341 affects Tattile Smart+ Firmware, a product from Tattile. Before acting, confirm where Tattile Smart+ Firmware runs in your estate, who owns it and whether it is reachable from the internet, because exposure decides real risk more than the score alone.
What the flaw is
In plain terms: Tattile Smart+, Vega, and Basic device families firmware versions 1.181.5 and prior ship with default credentials that are not forced to be changed during installation or commissioning. An attacker who can reach the management interface can authenticate using the default credentials and gain administrative access, enabling unauthorized access to device configuration and data.
Based on its CVSS vector, the flaw can be reached over the network, needs no login, and needs no user interaction. Apply the vendor fix and confirm exposure on internet facing and business critical assets first.

How to detect it
- Inventory every instance of Tattile Smart+ Firmware and record the running version against the affected range above.
- Check external attack surface scans for internet facing instances of the component.
- Review logs on affected systems for unusual requests, errors or new processes around the vulnerable function.
- Confirm with an authenticated vulnerability scan once your scanner has a check for this CVE.
How to fix it
- Apply the fixed version of Tattile Smart+ Firmware named in the vendor advisory.
- If patching must wait, restrict network access to the affected service and put it behind authentication or a web application firewall rule.
- Rescan after the change to prove the exposure is gone, then close the ticket.
CTEM action plan
| CTEM stage | What to do for this CVE |
|---|---|
| Scope | Add every business service that depends on Tattile Smart+ Firmware to the current CTEM cycle. |
| Discover | Find all instances, including shadow and cloud deployments, and record versions and exposure. |
| Prioritize | Rank using EPSS and CVSS together with asset exposure and business impact. |
| Validate | Confirm the flaw is reachable and exploitable in your environment and that compensating controls work. |
| Mobilize | Assign the fix to the asset owner with a due date matched to the priority, then verify closure. |

Tattile Smart+, Vega, and Basic device families firmware versions 1.181.5 and prior implement an authentication token (X-User-Token) with insufficient expiration. An attacker who obtains a valid token (for example via interception, log exposure, or token reuse on a shared system) can continue to authenticate to the management interface until the token is revoked, enabling unauthorized access to device functions and data.
Tattile Smart+, Vega, and Basic device families firmware versions 1.181.5 and prior expose RTSP streams without requiring authentication. A remote attacker can connect to the RTSP service and access live video/audio streams without valid credentials, resulting in unauthorized disclosure of surveillance data.
JAIOTlink C492A-W6 Wi-Fi IP cameras running firmware 4.8.30.57701411 contain a hard-coded credentials vulnerability that allows network-adjacent attackers to gain unauthorized access by using the default admin username with an empty password accepted by the anyka_ipc HTTP service on port 80. Attackers can authenticate with these hardcoded credentials to access camera snapshots, video streams, network configuration, and factory-level API endpoints including the SetMAC command injection surface.
netbox-docker before 2.5.0 has a superuser account with default credentials (admin password for the admin account, and 0123456789abcdef0123456789abcdef01234567 value for SUPERUSER_API_TOKEN). In practice on the public Internet, almost all users changed the password but only about 90% changed the token. Having a default token value was intentional and was valuable for the main intended use case of the netbox-docker product (isolated development networks). Some users engaged in an effort to repurpose netbox-docker for production. The documentation for this effort stated that the defaults must not be used. However, installation did not ensure non-default values. The Supplier was aware of the CVE ID assignment and did not object to the assignment.
Istio is an open platform to connect, manage, and secure microservices. Prior to 1.29.1, 1.28.5, and 1.27.8, a user of Istio is impacted if the JWKS resolver becomes unavailable or the fetch fails, exposing hardcoded defaults regardless of use of the RequestAuthentication resource. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.29.1, 1.28.5, and 1.27.8.
IBM Operations Analytics - Log Analysis and IBM SmartCloud Analytics - Log Analysis uses default passwords default passwords from the manufacturing process for use during the installation process, which could allow an attacker to bypass authentication.
