CVE-2026-123095 Overview
mpv 0.29.0 before 0.42.0 contains a playlist injection vulnerability in the bundled ytdl_hook script that allows remote attackers to add unchecked entries by embedding newlines in playlist URLs. Attackers controlling a feed or page can bypass url_is_safe() to open file:// or av:// inputs, reading local files or loading shared objects via ladspa for code execution.

Sandboxie-Plus is an open source sandbox-based isolation software for Windows. In versions 1.17.2 and earlier, an INI injection vulnerability allows any standard local user to bypass configuration restrictions (EditAdminOnly and ConfigPassword) and inject arbitrary directives into the global Sandboxie.ini configuration file. The background service skips authorization checks for IPC messages targeting sections beginning with UserSettings_, but does not sanitize CRLF characters in either the value parameter (via MSGID_SBIE_INI_ADD_SETTING) or the setting name parameter (via MSGID_SBIE_INI_SET_SETTING). An attacker can inject a new sandbox section header with unrestricted permissions, enabling sandbox escape and SYSTEM privilege escalation. This issue has been fixed in version 1.17.3.
TinyWeb is a web server (HTTP, HTTPS) written in Delphi for Win32. Prior to version 2.04, TinyWeb accepts request header values and later maps them into CGI environment variables (HTTP_*). The parser did not strictly reject dangerous control characters in header lines and header values, including CR, LF, and NUL, and did not consistently defend against encoded forms such as %0d, %0a, and %00. This can enable header value confusion across parser boundaries and may create unsafe data in the CGI execution context. This issue has been patched in version 2.04.
Pi-hole FTL is the core engine of the Pi-hole network-level advertisement and tracker blocker. In versions before 6.6.1, the `dns.interface` configuration field in Pi-hole FTL accepted newline characters without validation, allowing an attacker to inject arbitrary directives into the generated dnsmasq configuration file. On installations with no admin password set (the default for many deployments), the configuration API is fully accessible without credentials, allowing a network-adjacent attacker to inject the payload, enable the built-in DHCP server, and achieve arbitrary command execution on the host the next time any device on the network requests a DHCP lease. The injected value is persisted to /etc/pihole/pihole.toml and survives restarts. The strncpy in the code path limits the total interface field to 31 bytes, but payloads such as wlan0\ndhcp-script=/tmp/p fit within this constraint. The dnsmasq config validation introduced in FTL 6.6 only checks syntactic validity, so valid directives injected via newline pass validation successfully. This issue has been fixed in version 6.6.1.
A security flaw has been discovered in Oray Pugongying X5 Pro 7.6.1. The impacted element is an unknown function of the component Ser2net. Performing a manipulation of the argument regmsg results in crlf injection. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. The exploit has been released to the public and may be used for attacks. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way.
A weakness has been identified in Oray Pugongying X5 Pro 7.6.1. This affects the function snmp_set of the component SNMP Handler. Executing a manipulation of the argument info.community can lead to crlf injection. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploit has been made available to the public and could be used for attacks. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way.
pfSense CE through 2.9.0 contains a crontab injection vulnerability in interfaces_ppps_edit.php that allows authenticated users to execute commands as root by injecting newlines into the ptpid or reset hour/minute fields. Attackers holding the 'WebCfg - Interfaces: PPPs: Edit' privilege can submit crafted POST values that configure_cron() writes unescaped into /etc/crontab, running arbitrary root commands on schedule.
