About Bitdefender Napoca
CVE-2026-10047 affects Bitdefender Napoca, a product from Bitdefender. Before acting, confirm where Bitdefender Napoca runs in your estate, who owns it and whether it is reachable from the internet, because exposure decides real risk more than the score alone.
What the flaw is
In plain terms: The Bitdefender Napoca bare-metal hypervisor contains an out-of-bounds write vulnerability in the real-mode hook handler, implemented in napoca/kernel/handler.c. The handler uses a guest-controlled SS:SP-derived offset as an index into the 1MB RealModeMemory buffer without bounds validation. With SS=0xFFFF and ESP=0xFFFF, the computed offset can reach 0x10FFEF, exceeding the RealModeMemory buffer by 65,519 bytes. The IRET frame push can therefore write past the end of the buffer into the hypervisor heap. The product is end-of-life and unsupported when assigned.
The weakness class is Out of Bounds Write. The program writes past the end of a buffer, a common path to code execution.
Based on its CVSS vector, the flaw needs local or adjacent access, needs some level of access, and needs no user interaction. Apply the vendor fix and confirm exposure on internet facing and business critical assets first.

How to detect it
- Inventory every instance of Bitdefender Napoca and record the running version against the affected range above.
- Check external attack surface scans for internet facing instances of the component.
- Review logs on affected systems for unusual requests, errors or new processes around the vulnerable function.
- Confirm with an authenticated vulnerability scan once your scanner has a check for this CVE.
How to fix it
- Apply the fixed version of Bitdefender Napoca named in the vendor advisory.
- If patching must wait, restrict network access to the affected service and put it behind authentication or a web application firewall rule.
- Rescan after the change to prove the exposure is gone, then close the ticket.
CTEM action plan
| CTEM stage | What to do for this CVE |
|---|---|
| Scope | Add every business service that depends on Bitdefender Napoca to the current CTEM cycle. |
| Discover | Find all instances, including shadow and cloud deployments, and record versions and exposure. |
| Prioritize | Rank using EPSS and CVSS together with asset exposure and business impact. |
| Validate | Confirm the flaw is reachable and exploitable in your environment and that compensating controls work. |
| Mobilize | Assign the fix to the asset owner with a due date matched to the priority, then verify closure. |

An Improper link resolution before file access ('link following') vulnerability in the File Shredder module as used in Bitdefender Total Security and Internet Security on Windows allows a less-privileged local user to elevate rights by leveraging a race conditions via Symbolic Links. This issue affects Total Security: before 27.0.58.315; Internet Security: before 27.0.58.315.
Bitdefender Napoca bare-metal hypervisor contains an out-of-bounds write vulnerability in the BIOS INT 0x15 / E820 memory map handler, implemented in napoca/guests/bios_handlers.c. The handler computes a destination offset into the guest RealModeMemory buffer from guest-controlled ES and EDI register values without validating that the resulting address remains within the 1MB RealModeMemory allocation. A malicious guest operating in real mode can trigger the issue by invoking INT 0x15 with AX=0xE820, EDX=0x534D4150, ECX greater than or equal to 20, EBX=0, ES=0xFFFF, and EDI=0xFFFF. This can cause a write of up to 20 bytes past the end of the RealModeMemory buffer into the hypervisor heap. The product is end-of-life and unsupported when assigned.
Out-of-bounds Write, Buffer Copy without Checking Size of Input ('Classic Buffer Overflow') vulnerability in azerothcore azerothcore-wotlk (deps/zlib modules). This vulnerability is associated with program files inflate.C. This issue affects azerothcore-wotlk: through v4.0.0.
There is a possible out of bounds write due to a missing bounds check. This could lead to local escalation of privilege with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation.
Kitty is a cross-platform GPU based terminal. In versions 0.46.2 and below, the handle_compose_command() function in kitty/graphics.c performs bounds validation on composition offsets using unsigned 32-bit arithmetic that is subject to integer wrapping, potentially leading to Heap Buffer Over-Read/Write. An attacker who can write escape sequences to a kitty terminal (e.g., via a malicious file, SSH login banner, or piped content) can supply crafted x_offset/y_offset values that pass the bounds check after wrapping but cause massive out-of-bounds heap memory access in compose_rectangles(). No user interaction is required. No non-default configuration is required. The attacker only needs the ability to produce output in a kitty terminal window. This issue has been fixed in version 0.47.0.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nvmet-tcp: add bounds checks in nvmet_tcp_build_pdu_iovec nvmet_tcp_build_pdu_iovec() could walk past cmd->req.sg when a PDU length or offset exceeds sg_cnt and then use bogus sg->length/offset values, leading to _copy_to_iter() GPF/KASAN. Guard sg_idx, remaining entries, and sg->length/offset before building the bvec.
