About Fortinet Multiple Products
CVE-2025-25249 affects Fortinet Multiple Products, a product from Fortinet. Before acting, confirm where Fortinet Multiple Products runs in your estate, who owns it and whether it is reachable from the internet, because exposure decides real risk more than the score alone.
What the flaw is
In plain terms: A heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability in Fortinet FortiOS 7.6.0 through 7.6.3, FortiOS 7.4.0 through 7.4.8, FortiOS 7.2.0 through 7.2.11, FortiOS 7.0.0 through 7.0.17, FortiOS 6.4 all versions, FortiSwitchManager 7.2.0 through 7.2.6, FortiSwitchManager 7.0.0 through 7.0.5 allows attacker to execute unauthorized code or commands via specially crafted packets
The weakness class is Heap Buffer Overflow. A write past the end of a heap buffer corrupts nearby memory.
Based on its CVSS vector, the flaw can be reached over the network, needs no login, and needs no user interaction. It is listed in the CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog, so treat it as an active threat and patch immediately.

How to detect it
- Inventory every instance of Fortinet Multiple Products and record the running version against the affected range above.
- Check external attack surface scans for internet facing instances of the component.
- Review logs on affected systems for unusual requests, errors or new processes around the vulnerable function.
- Confirm with an authenticated vulnerability scan once your scanner has a check for this CVE.
How to fix it
- Apply the fixed version of Fortinet Multiple Products named in the vendor advisory.
- If patching must wait, restrict network access to the affected service and put it behind authentication or a web application firewall rule.
- Rescan after the change to prove the exposure is gone, then close the ticket.
CTEM action plan
| CTEM stage | What to do for this CVE |
|---|---|
| Scope | Add every business service that depends on Fortinet Multiple Products to the current CTEM cycle. |
| Discover | Find all instances, including shadow and cloud deployments, and record versions and exposure. |
| Prioritize | Known exploited, so top priority. |
| Validate | Confirm the flaw is reachable and exploitable in your environment and that compensating controls work. |
| Mobilize | Assign the fix to the asset owner with a due date matched to the priority, then verify closure. |

A improper authentication vulnerability in Fortinet FortiSOAR PaaS 7.6.0 through 7.6.3, FortiSOAR PaaS 7.5.0 through 7.5.2, FortiSOAR on-premise 7.6.0 through 7.6.3, FortiSOAR on-premise 7.5.0 through 7.5.2 may allow an unauthenticated attacker to bypass authentication via replaying captured 2FA request. The attack requires being able to intercept and decrypt authentication traffic and precise timing to replay the request before token expiration, which raises the attack complexity.

Out-of-bounds write vulnerability in the WEB module.Impact: Successful exploitation of this vulnerability will affect availability and confidentiality.
FastNetMon Community Edition through 1.2.9 contains an integer overflow in the BGP AS_PATH attribute encoder. In src/bgp_protocol.hpp, the IPv4UnicastAnnounce::get_attributes() function computes attribute_length as 'sizeof(bgp_as_path_segment_element_t) + this->as_path_asns.size() * sizeof(uint32_t)' and stores it in a uint8_t field (line 600-605). Since uint8_t can only hold values 0-255, an AS_PATH containing more than 63 ASNs (2 + 64*4 = 258 > 255) causes silent truncation. The truncated length is used for buffer sizing, while the actual data written is the full untruncated amount, resulting in a heap buffer overflow. Similarly, the path_segment_length field at line 621 is also uint8_t, truncating with more than 255 ASNs.
ALGO 8180 IP Audio Alerter InformaCast Heap-based Buffer Overflow Remote Code Execution Vulnerability. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of ALGO 8180 IP Audio Alerter devices. Authentication is not required to exploit this vulnerability. The specific flaw exists within the InformaCast functionality. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of the length of user-supplied data prior to copying it to a heap-based buffer. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of the device. Was ZDI-CAN-28302.
